Starting in 2022, with the direction Twitter was going, I moved to Mastodon.

So I have just spent most of the past week preparing the migration of my main site to Jekyll.

I have finally had the time to dive into spatial data correctly, partially because my new job has a strong spatial element to it. This revived a side project I had put aside for a few months: comparing the size of Tokyo with other major cities.

Today started with the news that Twitch had been hacked and a trove of data, from source code to operation manuals had been leaked. But the main discussion was around the streamers revenues.

I just wanted to see what were the main flights in Asian countries, following a viz I saw of the same for Europe.

A quick useless update: I am coming back to kinda daily algorithms practice, something I had not done for quite some time. This time on Codewars

Growing a skill takes time.

So I joined the mechanical keyboard tribe. Long story short, after 5 months working remotely bent over my laptop at my kitchen table, I said enough, bought a desk, a monitor and while I was at it, wanted to also switch to a mechanical keyboard and graduate from the flat and shorter course of the laptop keyboards I had been using for the last 10+ years (including most of my learning how to code and countless reports written for my MBA).

I often use Twitter as a source of ideas for analysis. Some tweets make me research some topics. Other anger me enough to have a look at the data to get a reality check.

So in the end, why am I even studying Data Science? Why do I want a career in Data Science?
